Comfort Zone achieves B Corp Recertification

To be a certified B Corporation means the coming together of people and industry leaders that use business as a force for good, by meeting the highest standards of social and environmental performance.

The Davines group along with its three brands Davines, Comfort Zone and Skin Regimen has redefined the business world through a model that is transparent and consistent in generating a positive impact on the world, reinforced by the global B Corp status.

At the end of October 2019, the group entered the recertification process, which is completed every three years to maintain the B Corp status. After a rigorous assessment done by the B Lab to determine the company’s impact on employees, customers, suppliers, community and the environment, the group excitedly announced the new score of 117.4, a proud improvement from their 2016 score of 99.

From 2016 to 2019 the company has worked hard to improve everyday business practices benefiting the lives of all touched by the company, including the environment. This has been achieved through a long list of initiatives that include the elimination of disposable plastic at the company headquarters, sourcing 100 per cent of its energy from renewable resources, becoming carbon neutral for all subsidiaries around the world and the creation of a yearly sustainability report that analyses the company’s environmental, social and sustainability results and objectives.

Since September 2019, the Davines Group has also become a Benefit Company, a concept born within the B Corp movement to give acknowledgment and protection to the certification at a legal level. This addition strengthens the companies lasting commitment as a B Corp into the future to continue working for the good of the people, planet and the environment.
